STOP THESE 2 RADICAL TEXAS BILLS!!

HB 3 – HB 196

Texas HB 3 Expands, Strengthens Government Reach and Power In An “Emergency”

This bill will mandate legal quarantine, masking, and shutting down businesses even as illegal aliens testing positive for COVID freely roam the nation.

HB 3 is a Trojan horse being falsely promoted as a “curb” on the governor’s executive powers.

It was filed by State Rep. Dustin Burrows (R-Lubbock), better remembered as the sidekick to disgraced former Texas House Speaker Dennis Bonnen.

HB 3 has been given a low number to signal that both Governor Abbott and House Speaker Dade Phelan support the bill and intend to fast track it. As with the 2019 session’s mental health bill, spineless Republicans will help to fast track — and pass — it.

What’s so dangerous about HB 3?

Sec. 418 A.002(6): “clarify and strengthen the roles of the governor, state agencies, the judicial branch of state government and local governments in the prevention of, preparation for, response to and recovery from a pandemic disaster;”

The bill gives the governor, state agencies, state judiciary, and local government LEGAL POWER and EXPANDED POWERS including imposing the  unconstitutional regulations of Fauci/Biden/CDC on Texans.

The bill includes preventing, preparation for, response, and recovery from a “pandemic disaster.” A “pandemic” can be declared at any time even if it is not a true pandemic.  Response will be as the government dictates and “recovery” may be for an eternity.

Not only will Abbott’s executive order now become law but the federal government will be granted power over our freedom. Governor Abbott will be able legally now to

~ Shut down your businesses

~ Deem you non-essential

~ Mandate masks

~ Limit your celebrations and gatherings

~ Mandate quarantine even if you don’t test positive

~ Keep you from visiting your elderly parent in a nursing home

~ Mandate a vaccine during a pandemic (as justification for prevention or recovery)

The bill goes much further to

~ Make private businesses liable for outbreaks when they don’t follow White House and CDC guidelines. (Sec.A418A.007)

~ Impose fines and criminal charges for those who don’t follow the executive orders – which might include wearing masks, distancing, or involuntary confinement. (Sec.A418A.152).

Texas HB196 Repeals Castle Doctrine: Flee Your Home So Thieves Can Legally Steal You Blind

This bill is so bizarre that it has gone viral. Family members in Tennessee are sending Carole emails asking if this is a hoax. Unfortunately, IT’S NOT!

Texas State Representative Terry Meza (D-Irving) has introduced HB196 that would repeal the “Castle Doctrine.” This doctrine seeks to prevent a  a homeowner from using a gun to protect himself and home against an armed intruder.

Meza’s insane answer to why she wants to repeal the Castle Doctrine…..

“I’m not saying that stealing is okay,…..”All I’m saying is that it doesn’t warrant a death penalty. Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate. They just want to get their loot and get away. When the resident tries to resist is when people get hurt. If only one side is armed fewer people will be killed.”

Meza tries to reassure us that the homeowner can defend himself by fleeing his house and letting the burglar steal – er, shop for – whatever he wants in the house.

“… the homeowner’s obligation is to flee the home at the first sign of intrusion. If fleeing is not possible, he must cooperate with the intruder. But if violence breaks out it is the homeowner’s responsibility to make sure no one gets hurt. The best way to achieve this is to use the minimum non-lethal force possible because intruders will be able to sue for any injuries they receive at the hands of the homeowner.

Meza offers further evidence to justify her mentally deranged thinking….

“In most instances the thief needs the money more than the homeowner does…….”The homeowner’s insurance reimburse his losses. On balance, the transfer of property is likely to lead to a more equitable distribution of wealth. If my bill can help make this transfer a peaceful one so much the better.”

Citizens Matter wants to know if Meza is okay with standing outside on her lawn while burglars walk through her home and lift whatever they want to take out.

We already have a Dallas version of this bill where a thief can enter a business and get “free stuff” — up to $750 in merchandise — without fear of prosecution by the Dallas District Attorney.  Of course, they can make repeated “visits.” These thieves get to resell their loot and avoid taxes while the store owner is financially damaged.
